“Maurice Sendak, widely considered the most important children’s book artist of the 20th century, who wrenched the picture book out of the safe, sanitized world of the nursery and plunged it into the dark, terrifying and hauntingly beautiful recesses of the human psyche, died on Tuesday in Danbury, Conn. He was 83.” NY Times

Parque Gulliver - a children’s book imagination

Parque Gulliver, build in the 1990 and located in Valencia Spain, is a playground based around the figure of the mythical Gulliver, tied to the ground by the inhabitants of Lilliput. Gulliver’s body morphs into slides, ramps, stairs and caves, scaled so that visitors are seemingly the size of the Lilliputians. A joint project by architect Rafael Rivera, artist Manolo Martin and the designer Sento.

Mr. Button buttons

All little boys and girls would like to be able to button up their own blouses and jackets, just like Mom and Dad. These buttons make it fun getting into clothes and also adding a little character.

Buggy Workout – No baby excuses

What it is. The beauty of a buggy workout is that it can be whatever you want it to be. It’s nice to find a park for your buggy workout, but if you don’t have an park nearby that’s no excuse you just run in the streets. Start by power walking at a slow pace that’s right for you and get used to your buggy. If and when you feel ready, you could move up to a slow jog, increasing speed and time as you get fitter.

Why it’s cool. If you are a true Urban Nomad you don’t want to spend your days in a sweaty gym neither do you want to spent quality time away from your child. Although you would like to work while your working out it’s not a very good combination. And you can join one of the many Buggy Workout Clubs in the big capitals of the world like Berlin.
